Hello ,
Here is a run down on my case:
First I-485 applied in 6/2002,
Fingerprint done, EAD obtained in 2/03
Application withdrawn by spouse due to conviction
Second I-485 applied by my 2nd DW in 7/05
Interview granted in 5/06
Case still pending due name check
GC? till date
Anyone with a similar case and any advice on this case? I've spent about 30K USD on this case on Lawyers and still have NOT got any decision from the USCIS. Now , I'm considering filing a WOM. Whats your take on this? Thanks !

Calling up Customer service fixed it. My card did arrive a month+ after my spouse. there was some problem with production of my card first time around.

I would like to see the new inventory of pending 485s after the september approvals, I am not sure when uscis would release such information.
How can an agency deny us basic information. istn't there a law against it?

I have a question, my attorney says that he has filed the application on 2nd July without my signature.
I have not given any authorization also.
I am worried if it is valid or not.
I don't know if they take authorization from my employer or it should be from me.

Its important to lobby Republicans as well since they tried to help us during the CIR debate. I can't recall Democratic senators helping LEGAL immigrants during the CIR debate last year!

My primary tip is patience... By very early, I mean at or just after sunrise... Early's no problem, I don't sleep anyway. :p I'll work on my patience ;)
I've also had great success with a trick Don Bevis shared. You can get thin bamboo sticks... I always carry two of them with me and stick them in the ground so that they apply slight pressure to the plant stem... It doesn't always work, but it does so often enough that it's worth hauling the sticks around... I remember Don's bamboo stick tip now that you remind me. I'll go to the nursury today...
These days I make heavy use of my 5-in-1 disk for diffusion and reflection... but Kevin Sadler talked me into spending more money to get a quality product and I haven't regretted it... Kevin's suggestion of using a quality reflector is a good idea, I'll go the camera store after the nursury...
As for shooting technique, a tripod is a must... and hang the camera upside down... and frequently use mirror lock up... GaryI use a manfrotto 3001BPRO tripod, which allows you to put the camera all the way onto the ground, and even position the center column horizontally, but I use a pan-tilt head that's not too flexible (and I bent it the other day :(). I'll look at ball heads while I'm at the camera store... I never thought of hanging the camera upside down! I'll try that. Great tip. I use mirror lock-up when shooting thru my telescope, but forgot to use it here. Will do.

as I was not getting a corp to corp job for more than a year.I desperately need to work.now I am on a project for 3 months and it will end soon also.but this company wants to hire me full time. thats why I want to join them with EAD and when my h1b approves I will get it stamped and reenter..
You can continue to work with the company from the day they apply for your H1(of from the day you get the receipt of h1 application)....you don't have to wait till you get an approved H1.

A divorce will not benefit anyone. Think about all the time you spent with each other as an investment. A job, and a little independence should not change your attitude. Think of the kids futures what they have to go thru. Its a total loose loose.
If you absolutely have to go thru with the divorce. Find a US citizen or maybe a GC holder who will be ready to marry you right after the divorce. Then you don't have to go out of the country. Or else reason with your husband to hold off on the divorce till GC.

Your parents do not need A/V letter. They can supplement last 3 months of statements. If you still want to give a try. You can ask bank manager to send a letter with current amount on your A/C to the address mentioned on your A/C. which means, they are sending the information to the addressee on the A/C.
If I were you, I would wait until your job is done. Then, close the A/C with a reason specified "Not happy with service".
It will be helpful if you can mention the bank name on this forum for all our immigrant community.

Some of my friends who used AC21 moved to jobs having salary more than 50% of their current one. All got their GCs approved and didn't have any issues. But from what i read from multiple sites, the salary should never go below the one that's mentioned in LCA.

US has been in number 1 in the past, moved to 2nd spot for a couple of years, in the world competitiveness rankings. For the first time, the US moved to the 6th Spot in the world rankings by the world economic forum (Europe based Institution). The main reason was because of the huge current account deficit and negative savings (mainly federal deficit) which is a threat to the US competitiveness. China moved down due to corruption etc. India moved up but any further movement will depend on structural reforms, especially controlling the huge public service and red-tape and a creaking infrastructure - power, roads, ports, water supply - all of which are run by the government. The health services in large parts of India is dismal and so is the public education system (K-12). With the left firmly controlling the ruling party, deregulation is slow and insipid, and it is the private sector which is basically contributing to the GDP and Competitiveness. What is the exact reason for denial? In spite of your education evaluation as well as letter from the Registrar in India they still dont believe Maths was your major?
You should appeal. It can take a few months (4-6) but its not worth letting it go so easily. Try to get a better education evaluation done (try Sheila Danzig, she has helped some folks on immigrationportal.com). Also, ask your attorney why he is confident the appeal will work in your case (ie. what does he plan to present in the appeal that he did not include in the RFE response).
Also, start another LC in parallel if you are about to run out of your 6 years on H1, as a backup (you can get H1 extensions based on this LC while its under appeal, but if the appeal is also ultimately denied, you want to keep your options open)

The processing date listed is the received date of the oldest case that they have not adjudicated or pre-adjudicated yet (maybe due to some problem). It does not mean that cases filed after April 2007 are or will not be adjudicated.
