Patterns say AOS/EAD/AP application will be moved to TSC [if your I-140 is related to TSC] but USCIS retained the Receipt date @ NSC Received date. Not sure who assign RN and encash the check? TSC or NSC. Most probably TSC. :confused:

My date will be current next month. But I got fingerprinting notice, and the appointment is on Sep 17th . Does that means will I have to wait until my FP is done to get the approval?. Please suggest me is there any way I can get my FP done prior to the scheduled date. This is my 2nd FP notice. First one was in Feb 2008.

You are in the EB3 category, do you ever wonder why somebody who is more educated than you or me, makes more money? Can we say, hey you I was born in 1890 I should make more money, it does not fly, EB3 is not a reflection on your skills but more the job you hold.
The question you should ask is why have EB1, 2, 3, etc?
Why do you not include the family based categories, isn't family first, why not the EB spill over to to FB first then whatever trickles down comes to EB, is not this fair? I am sure there are a lot in the FB queue who have waited for longer than you. Now dont tell you you are better than FB because you are highly skilled, pay taxes, etc.
You signed up for this knowing what was in store.
You think writing a letter or starting up a thread is going to help?
I just wonder, is IV some kind of therapy? something like weightwatchers,
maybe we should call ourselves GCWatchers, for frustrated GC folks from India.

My wife got a soft LUD on 8/21. She has PD of Dec 2005 EB2 (I). I feel sorry for EB3 folks even though I'm under EB2. But I get upset when some of the EB2 folks don't even know the reason why they started getting green cards recently all of a sudden ( b'coz of roll over). They don't educate themselves and talk as if they deserve the green cards. If was a collective effort from IV and fellow immigrants that pressurised USCIS to follow the rules and reduce the backlogs.
Are you implying every person born in India in the EB2 owes a debt of gratitude to IV?
Why do people not deserve their greencards? If they followed the law, stood in line, and the government of the USA deemed them fit for a GC what else do you need for them to be deserving? Touch your feet and get your blessings?

You being US citizen or president of USA does not mean much to us! I have requested you to show me "so called 30 day rule" on any of the official web site (For example USCIS). If you are saying that you want a temporary fix then I am sure a lot of people who are in the initial stages or are on just H1 will not support you. Do not say that it will indirectly help them because line in front will be reduced. They want more greencard numbers and no wait times.

I think, this argument is wrong! Legally, any descrimination based on national origin is not valid.
Even if congress passes a law, it can be challenged in court - and court can declare the law as unconstitutional based on the basic rights allowed in the constitution. If we can prove that a law is against the constitution, court can declare it as invalid.

Department of Justice's CIVIL rights division will take up cases related to any discrimination based on National Origin.
In this case, one arm of the Federal goverment is discriminating us and we need to have some help from the other arm of the government (Department of Justice) and the Judicial System, to prove this discrimination.
If we can prove in a court that this is discrimination , that day onwards, country quota will become invalid. Congress has to alter the law then.
I dont believe in flower/food/sos campaigns to resolve this problem...just because it worked once before doesnt mean it is going to work again..have we pursued a class action lawsuit against Department of State/Labor/USCIS for unlawful discrimination based on the country of birth in Employment Based Visas. Any idea if IV core ever took up this path? Can we attempt to do this? What are the costs involved and can we get some good lawyer representation to this goal?

I am not sure why USCIS is publishing the updates every week saying that there is progress in receipting dates.
There are so many of us just in the July 3rd to July 16th range.
