You are absolutely right. The thread owner should have explained the concept for the non-indians and made it more acceptable by others.
It is never late , the thread owner can you please update in the first page regarding what this is all about.

Seems like they have or are going to block all mass e-mails in future..
Pappu: I did leave messages for Immigration Aide @ Senator Brown and Senator Voinovich office and have not heard back from them.. Will update once hear back from them.. Seems they all are already in holiday mode..
Thank you for contacting my office. I genuinely appreciate your e-mail and thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. As with all communications with my office, your views have been recorded.
Every day, I hear from the people of Ohio through their phone calls, letters and faxes to my office. As you can imagine, I also receive a significant number of e-mails daily. Mass-generated e-mails sent by a third-party group, which are usually form text, have hindered my ability to respond to the e-mails, phone calls, letters and faxes that I receive. Due to the increasing number of mass-generated e-mails received by my office, effective March 16, 2007, my office will be implementing changes to the constituent correspondence process.
Consequently, I have established a new system on my website to better serve Ohio constituents. If you would like a written response to your e-mail, please go to .: United States Senator George Voinovich :: Home :. (http://voinovich.senate.gov) and click on the CONTACT tab to fill out the web CONTACT FORM. By filling out this form, you will receive a written response from my office.
Thank you for your patience. Should you experience any problems with my web CONTACT FORM, please call my office at 202-224-3353 and my staff will be happy to guide you through the electronic correspondence process.
Sincerely,
George V. Voinovich

Dear XXX
Thank you for contacting me with your position regarding immigration. It is good to learn the views of my friends and neighbors in northern California, and I appreciate having your input.
Current estimates suggest that there may be as many as twelve million undocumented immigrants in our country. A balanced approach to immigration reform is needed to contain and reverse this trend. Any solution must protect the United States economy, meet our homeland security needs, and reduce the backlog and wait times associated with legitimate applications for legal entry.
Our economy relies upon hard working people to perform every type of work, from back-breaking farm labor to high tech jobs, and America has always welcomed workers, foreign and domestic, who endeavor to advance the U.S. economy. It is simply not realistic to expect our economy to continue prospering without providing some mechanism for legal temporary workers to continue their efforts.
That is why I am a cosponsor of the AgJOBS bill. Our national economic survival relies on retaining the agricultural labor force while bringing workers out from the shadows, a goal the AgJOBS bill helps meet. However, I also believe we should significantly enhance the American labor market by placing a priority on educating U.S. students and training American workers instead of fostering a reliance on foreign workers. Businesses seeking to hire a temporary professional worker should pledge that they have made a good-faith effort to hire U.S. workers first and that the temporary professional worker will not displace a U.S. worker. I believe that these provisions can be met without stifling business and economic growth.
In addition, true border security can come only from the increased use of manpower and effective technology together with an efficient and judicious legal immigration application process. The indefinite state of limbo in which many applicants for legal American immigration status find themselves is a part of the problem that we can control. By allocating more resources to efficiently process applications, we can significantly cut wait times for applicants and reduce the influx of undocumented immigrants. As Congress considers future immigration legislation, I will factor your recommendations into my decision making.
Thank you again for sharing your views. I am proud to serve California's Eleventh District, and I am committed to working hard for you. If you would like more information about the issues I am working on in Congress, I encourage you to visit my website at Congressman Jerry McNerney (http://www.mcnerney.house.gov).

I am seeing lot of ads in Dice that only citizens are need to apply. If that is a racism many companies would have been in trouble. If you are really sure that they are violating law you can apply for those positions and sue them as affected person. You may get millions of dollars if court finds that there is a racism in selection. I think if they eliminate particular group in US citizens(If they eliminate Indian origin or Chinese origin Citizens inspite of similar skills ) then that is a racism.
There have been quite a number of job positions restricting specific communities. This contradicts with the EEO. Its high time these are being highlighted...

like others mentioned. i was on shocked state for a while. still could not believe. pl find out the other options asap and get into action. GC can come and go. Don not compromise with GC and GC dream etc. Life is the most precious and un comparable one. consult more doctors here as you can or go india and get it consulted. for many this which were diagnosed as complex and un-curable, indian doctors might have easy solution. just go see them you'll be fine. I understand its easy to to suggest but pain to be in that position. On top of all these trust in GOD. We'll will pray for you.
Good luck.

Since you never got an H1-B stamped in your passport, you are not eligible for AVR (since there is no H1B visa to revalidate). You could do AVR for F-1 since you have that stamp but that is also NOT VIABLE any more because you are now not eligible/admissible for F-1.
So your choices are:
1. Come back in with AP (safest)
2. Go for H1-B stamping (approved, you come in with H1-B/ denied you come in with AP)
Both have their Pros and Cons.
Good luck and PS: There have been few people who got RFE because of Canada Landing. When you get the RFE, you have to again prove your intent of immigrating to US. You can show that by a sworn affadavit of your intent to settle in US. Additional, you can show employment ties, property etc. etc. Like we need to show ties to home country before F-1 or other strictly non immigrant visa interview.
But most people who have landed in Canada have had no issues.

If you can make a concerted effort and we can ensure a large number of people will actually send the flowers, it would make a great media story. A wonderful splash on the media pages. American media will eat it up. Then get one of the IV core members to actually go on the air and explain the problem.
It's really not a bad idea.

I am very new to this forum and have been spending some time here just over the past few weeks. I am trying to learn the ropes of this EB green card system. As someone pointed, I belong to those on the "fence" not knowing what or how to be effective with my time and money in these efforts. I like this thread and I think I want to begin my involvement through this effort.
My opinion is that we don't need a 1000 people to contribute to reach $100000 for the effort. Those who are willing to give $100 would not, I think, hesitate to give another $100 or even more to speed up the process. I for one will contribute $200 and if necessary more for this effort.
Yes, great to see fellow determined souls here so far
Goal is to get atleast 1000 to start with.
First step is to collect details ( Name, E-mail and Ph No# )
Please send them MAN-WOMAN-GC ASAP . He has gracefully offered to maintain a spreadhseet.
Once we reach the number of resources, we will have conference calls, meet in person whoever can, arrange for money, decide on lawyers ( which MadhuVJ has some very good suggestions ) and move on from there
We are doing it brothers and sisters.

Folks
Did anyone get their physical Cards without getting CPO message ?
I have recd the I-797C Approval notice on the 11th but I have not recd the physical cards as yet. BTW I did not get any welcome e-mail or CPO mail - I directly got 485 Approval e-mail and that is all.
wait4ever,
My situation is very similar to yours.
As per CSR "The cards will be sent to the printer in October". I dont know how far it is true or what to make out of it.
Probably she is reading a standard call script. God knows...

Funny... Sathweb took his post back, which even he does not agree with anymore and you now agree with it..
Point is very simple: If a person has a valid job offer then by all means go ahead and apply for H1 from any status (be it H4, F1, B or Z...) but if you don't have a proper job offer then please don't apply for the H1 visa through a body shop as you are taking away a valuable visa #, which unfortunately are very limited.
QUOTE=sumanitha;314025]I Completely agree with your reply. First, when I read the comment of that guy, I couldnt accept at all.
You have given a nice and neat reply.[/QUOTE]
